KARLA
Karla opened Cork This Tap That! on September 1, 2021 after owning Cork This! Winery in Montgomery and Wonderland Winery in College Station. Before slipping and hitting her head (as she would say) and thinking that leaving healthcare administration and owning her own business was a good idea!
Her goal was to make a local watering hole that was fun for the whole family - with live music, an eclectic menu. With her prior winery experience, she has built an extensive collection of local beers and wines for Cork This Tap That!
“Life’s too short not to have fun. And if I’m going to work all the time, I’m going to make it as fun as possible,” she says. “We love our customers, both regulars, and first timers, and strive to make their experience entertaining, quirky and yet still delivering the highest caliber of service.”
Originally from Michigan, Karla lives in Montgomery and has a daughter, a granddaughter, son-in-law and a variety of animals. She also owns Chandler’s Event Venue in historic downtown Montgomery.
